FAQ
Bonding of ISOPROFILE
ISOPROFILE uses the technique of gluing and finger joints according to the CEN/TS 13307-2 standard. This certificate specifies the requirements for laminated and finger jointed timber blanks and semi-finished profiles for non-structural uses in hardwood and softwood. ISOPROFILE cooperates with recognized and accredited technical centers in Europe to verify the mechanical strength and durable bond on a regular basis.
Fire safety of ISOPROFILE
The T.P.P insulation material has class B in accordance with the EN ISO 11925: 2 European fire classes. The fire resistance and all other properties are tested by the Belgian Institute for Wood Technology CTIB/NCHN.
Compressibility of ISOPROFILE
The profile is little or non-compressible. The profile and all other properties are tested by the Belgian Institute for Wood Technology CTIB/NCHN.
Lifespan of ISOPROFILE
The T.P.P insulator does not rot, and therefore the insulation material has a lifespan of more than 50 years. Depending of the wood specie, a durability of more than 50 years can be guaranteed.
Processing of ISOPROFILE
ISOPROFILE can be processed as solid rafters. The product has no problems with planing, exhaust, combustion and disposal of residual waste.
What happens when the insulation comes into contact with moisture?
The T.P.P insulator does not absorb moisture. When the T.P.P insulation comes into contact with moisture, it does not affect the thermal performance of the ISOPROFILE.
Is the insulation material available in different thicknesses?
ISOPROFILE comes standard with a 25 mm T.P.P insulation. Only on demand, the T.P.P insulation material is available in different thicknesses.
